Clinton Clark, being a Christian, because of his faith in the Bible he felt that total change was promised to him. Clinton Clark took a therapy approach toward changing his sexual orientation. Not knowing any other way to change his sexual orientation, he followed the advice of pastors and what the “experts” had written in all of their books. He found that indeed over time he did make measurable change, yet to be honest he was still by definition homosexual. After years of struggling and attempting to overcome the orientation with no change in the attraction part of it, disappointed he gave up trying to change his sexual orientation.
Instead of attempting to overcome his orientation Clinton Clark decided instead he would love God and worship God unconditionally whether or not he received a sexual orientation change.
In 1992, Clinton received what is referred to in the Bible as “The baptism of the Holy Spirit” evidenced by speaking in unknown languages. Clinton became very excited about the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit that he was beginning to use. He discovered that God had given him the gift of discernment of spirits and prophetic gifts. When Clinton would worship he could feel the very presence of God. Then something very strange started happening. As he worshiped with the Holy Spirit strongly present in his life, demons would begin to manifest by growling, grimacing, twitching, etc. Yes, real, non-fictional demons. Obviously concerned and feeling uncomfortable at such manifestations Clinton sought help in getting them cast out. “Many, actually most Christians felt uncomfortable with the subject.” Clinton laughing out loud says: “If you want to see who is spiritual and who is not, just ask a Christian if they can help you cast out a few demons!” The story does not end here; the very same hour that the demons came out Clinton immediately noticed that something incredible had happened! The homosexual attraction had left in its entirety! Clinton was absolutely stunned at his discovery.
Clinton Clark in “Enemy Exposed” shows a clear and direct correlation between homosexual orientation and demons. He also knows how difficult this revelation may be for many to swallow as all of the “experts” claim it is not caused by demons.
Along the way he discovered that both conservative and the liberal church do not really have an intellectual grasp on this issue. “It seems,” Says Clinton Clark, “that the church has for the most part lost its spiritual side. I mean the Biblical mandate of the church is to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons; but how many churches actually do that?”
Not only does Clinton Clark advocate change for those who are enslaved by demons, but also acts as a mediating voice to the church. The church needs to understand some things that the “gays” are right about. For one thing, they do not choose their sexual orientation. Yes, behavior is a choice, but people do not choose whom they are sexually attracted to. And even though measurable change is possible one cannot “change” their sexual orientation. With this revelation Clinton has also learned from observing deliverance in others, that demons can enter while the child is still in the womb. In other words, a person can be born “gay”, yet the cause is not genetic. The cause is demonic.
When Clinton discovered the true cause of homosexual orientation he began contacting other what are referred to as ex-gay” ministries to tell them what he had discovered. To his surprise many already knew! When asked why they are not telling people the truth the typical answer revolved around the concern that a person may attempt demonic deliverance and have a bad experience or have an unsuccessful deliverance, which in turn could cause more depression.
Clinton Clark agrees demonic deliverance is not something to play with or attempt lightly without preparation. Clinton adds; “Unfortunately the church as a whole is ill equipped for complete deliverance. If they can get a demon to come out often times the person is declared free, when in fact they may have several dozen more demons still in them.” Clinton thought that most persons that would contact his ministry would be people struggling with the orientation, but the reality most are pastors who want to know how to successfully cast out demons!
Clinton realizes how controversial this subject is; “I mean I am demonizing homosexual orientation how controversial yet truthful is that” Clark adds: “This message is not just for homosexual persons that just happened to be my issue. I have discovered the demons work in he same way to produce adult sexual attraction to children. It is slightly different how the demons work to create transsexuality, but these people don’t need hormone therapy or surgery they need deliverance.” When asked about his message of hope possibly being misinterpreted as a message of “hate” Clark responds this way: “People tend to project what they themselves are. People who go around screaming ‘hate’ every few minutes are usually very judgemental and hateful. I think it is important that every time we hear someone trying to silence the message of freedom spoken in love, that we speak out against the hate. Because speaking the truth of freedom, like my book "Enemy Exposed" does, is love.”
Clinton Clark, in his book “Enemy Exposed” has taken the liberty to redefine homosexual orientation. “Enemy Exposed” breaks homosexual orientation down into four measurable characteristics:
1) A “interpretive response” to the same gender.
2) A “romantic response” to the same gender.
3) A “fantasy response” to the same gender.
4) A “physiological response” to the same gender.
By defining the orientation in measurable or behavior type terms Clinton finds it helps when doing deliverance and also helps people understand what exactly they are being set free from.
“Enemy Exposed” challenges the “experts” views and the views of the church. “Many that struggle with this issue tell me they always felt their homosexual orientation was demonic, but, because they were told that it was not cause by demons they explored other alternatives. But you know what? Now I’m the expert because it happened to me. I experienced it. And no expert can take that away from me.” Clinton Clark said. “Enemy Exposed” has been written so that now you will know; you will have the answer concerning this divisive issue.
What is the setting of your book?
Enemy Exposed is written in two parts. The first takes the reader on the journey from the authors’ childhood growing up in a cult struggling with a homosexual orientation to finally walking in freedom from those desires. The second part exposes the reader to a more accurate description of homosexual orientation than is usually defined and reveals what the reader can expect once the orientation is totally removed.
Who are the main characters, what are their relationships, and why are they important to the story?
In the first part of the book most of the characters are individuals that God used as an instrument of change in Clinton Clark's life. And other characters, especially those in the religious cult chapters give the reader a sense of just how the cult did influence the author’s image of God, others and himself. From the mysterious never seen before Aunt that showed up just at the right time, to Miss Anita Jane Bryant who was catalyst in leading Clinton Clark to a relationship with Christ, part one of Enemy Exposed is Clinton Clarks incredible story of change.
Why do you think this book will appeal to readers?
Mostly because this book is a fresh voice not an “echo”. This book exposes why both sides of the nature / nurture argument about the cause homosexual orientation are wrong. Once one knows the real cause the pathway to true freedom is targeted and attainable. This book is a breath of true hope to the reader because it confronts the fallacies in both sides of the homosexual issue with candid honesty. It gives specific and reasonable answers to combat the misconceptions both sides have about this issue. There is no hiding behind mystical and questionable “cures”; it instead tells what specific action can be done not to “overcome” homosexual orientation but to physically remove it with astounding results.
