"Betrayed By Gossip (How I Trusted Again) will move you to tears with its message of hope, forgiveness, and deliverance. The humor and fellowship between Clinton and his real life characters illustrate each chapter so three dimensionally that it will touch your heart and break it as you keep turning the pages. It is my opinion that this book has what it takes to reach out and provide healing for whatever storms of life the reader has weathered in the past or is facing in the present." Many have written me after reading this book, or before, all with the same quest - to get THEIR life back. They want to regain their reputation, the feelings of trust and safety that they held BEFORE they were lied about. I have spent the first six years after I was lied about trying for those same things. I tried to figure out how to get MY life back. I have since learned that one does not get THEIR life back. Once one understands this, they have reached the "acceptance" stage of the four stages of anger. You do not get YOUR life back, you can go on with life but it will not be YOUR life. The betrayed now must learn to make adjustments. You must learn to live with the fact that you cannot restore your reputation that you thought you had. Peace comes when one understands and accepts, that life as you knew it, the life you once had is no more. If one continues to seek to regain that life they will be constantly frustrated and heavy of heart.
